I pointed out before that I was looking for data pertaining to foreign ownership since a lot of realtors and people in general claim that houses are being bought up by foreigners.

Check out the report, it has pretty good data but the most interesting to me starts on page 17

- 609 properties have foreign ownerships from APJ
- 2532 properties have forieng ownerships from USA
- 305 properties have foreign ownerships from UK

Page 16 points out how many properties there are in metro vancouver in 2009. Vancouver has 158703. Richmond has 59527.

So here are some thoughts I have upon reading this report
- where's the money really coming from? because foreign money does not seem to be that huge. This used to be one of the "PROs" of the Vancouver market but this report points out that foreign investment is not as strong as most puts it.
- how accurate is this report? how accurate is the data?

Any constructive input is appreciated. Perhaps I am a bear, but I am open to ideas.
