Nationally, consumer confidence fell 7.8 percentage points to 84.8 in April, according to the report. Consumer confidence levels varied greatly depending on the region. British Columbia -- which played host to the Winter Olympics in February -- slid 28.3 points to 92.8. On the positive side, the index rose 3.9 points to 85.3 in Ontario. |
